Hello. . . idk, barbarian? Whatever.
Hey. I finished a book last night. It was dank. Wanna hear about it? Of course you do.
This is The Heart of Betryal, second to The Kiss of Deception if the cover art similarity wasn't evidence enough for you. In this novel, Lia is being held captive by the enemy territory of Venda. Not only does she have to worry about keeping herself alive, but bae-Rafe, who is playing as an emissary to the prince. Kaden is just being annoying and puppy-dog-like, but he does have some merit in the story. Everyone's deceptions in Terravin are swirling around but Lia can't worry about that. She's too busy trying to stay alive, not give up Rafe, and nurture a gift the most powerful man in Venda believes is a sham.
You may be wondering if I have rants. If so, you're also not my real friend. Rafe is still hot, still bae, still great. Kaden is still someone I don't like. I don't know why, I just don't like him. He's dumb. The Komizar is a demon spawn. All the little children of Venda are adorable.
For actual book content, I. . . . (so I forgot I didn't finish this post, so.....book content comentary isn't a thing. Oops.)
Ship: Rafe and Lia
Die: Komizar, Kaden, the little Vendan generals or whatever
Heart: Jeb, the children
