I finished The Beauty of Darkness, and let me tell you, I had like zero to worry about. I mean, I had a little but overall there was nothing. This book follows the aftermath of Lia and Rafe's escape from Venda. They both want to get to safety, but Rafe is trying to go to Dalbreck and Lia wants to go to Morrighan to warn her people of the hidden army in Venda. Of course freaking Kaden hunts her down, so he's clearly a problem. With her and Rafe at odds and Kaden just adding to the tension, it was amazing that I survived all 679 pages.
So despite the rude interuptions of unimportant school work, I really enjoyed this book. Sometimes I was like, Lia what are you doing? but that happens often. This book helped me not hate Kaden and believe that he deserved love. I had a feeling that what happened with Lia in the end was going to happen, so that wasn't much of a surprise but I'm glad she did. Her own people didn't appreciate her enough. Or at all. Filthy traitors. Rafe was kind of being a stubborn bastard for a while, but I still loved him.
I feel like I should write more, but I'm sleepy. Peace out my homie. Stay toasty.
