King's Cage

Hey Red,

I'd like to start out by saying I'm sorry I keep doing this to you. It's actually kind of ridiculous, but that's how it's been working out. One more book and then you should be out of this idiocy.

I just finished King's Cage, which is the third book in the Red Queen series. Originally I was going to just summarize the other books because I very clearly remember what happens and stuff, but I tried to summarize them for my dad, and that was actually a mess. He was very confused. Because he's a very smart man and had little to no clue what words I was saying, I'm going to do what I apparently do best. Throw down some links.

Red Queen
Glass Sword
King's Cage

So, vague commentary (I'm so sorry). My ship is the best ship. His butt needs to be kicked. That whole family can go die whenever they like. Guard? They're cool. Family is great. With this glowing review, you'll definitely go read it, yay.

I'm sorry I'm grossly incompetent. It's kind of a problem. I'd write you some fanfiction, but I hate the idea of fanfiction. If you write it, that's great, go you. I just feel like the writer wrote what they could and that's that. Be done with it. But whatever. The fangirls shrieking in the distance tells me I am the minority here, much like real life. Hah. Send help.

The Dark Days Pact

Hello aide? Sure. You aren't a Reclaimer yet.

Alright, I know. I realize it's been like over a week. Do I have a good excuse? Not really. Was I sick? Not anymore. The only possibly acceptable excuse is that this book has almost 500 pages. Of course, this has never hindered me in the past, but whatever. I don't have to explain myself to you, reader.

I finished a book titled The Dark Days Pact, second to The Dark Days Club. I feel like you know what's about to happen. Those two are a couple of very dense, very complex books. I couldn't do the summary justice. Besides, if you haven't read the first one yet you'd be confused then mad at me because I spoiled stuff for you so there you go: links.

Since I kind of care about your reading experience (though I'm not totally sure you aren't a government official) I'll try to keep my rants out of spoiler territory. So, when William isn't raging, he's a sweetheart and I love him. Gerard needs to move on and stop being that one white kid that has to get his way no matter what. He's annoying and I now hate him. I feel like I always knew about Michael. It was kind of obvious to me. Margaret should pull that stick out of her butt, because that's not what that's for. Darby and Nathaniel should elope.

Ha! No spoilers (kind of) because of christian names. I rigged the system. Also, after reading blogs to help me remember books, I don't think I'm doing this right. Do I care though? Not in the slightest, because my readers haven't complained yet. That was a joke about me having readers, sad and not funny. Ha!

Crystal Storm

Hello crystals,

Listen, I realize it's been a while, but I have an actual reason. I've been sick and I still had to go to school. Plus, it was a distracting sick, like I couldn't focus on anything. It was ridiculous. But I'm back now, feeling a bit better and finishing books.

I finished Crystal Storm by Morgan Rhodes. Now, here's the thing. This is the fifth book. It would not behoove any of us for me to try and explain this book with four books worth of build up behind it. That's silly. So I'm go get you some Goodreads book summaries.

Falling Kingdoms
Rebel Spring
Gathering Darkness
Frozen Tides

There, I did it. Falling Kingdoms is a really good series. I highly recommend, very highly. Like, 10/10 would recommend. It's so good. My ship is the best ship, and you can't tell me any different. Suck it.

Stay With Me

Hey honey,

This is it. This is the last one. For me. There are like three others, but my library decided they didn't need those. Maybe once they get their heads out of the ground, I'll read them. But for now. It's the end.

Stay With Me is about Teresa's friend, Calla. Like the flower, I think. Anyway, everything is going just fine until she realizes her mother screwed her over. Big time. Now she has to go back home. Like, has to. Once there she meets Jackson "Jax" James, the hottie who runs her mom's bar. Super bossy, could be  a long lost member of the Hot Guy Brigade, and is all up in her business. Well, not business. More like. . . he's just really. . . listen. I don't know how to say it. Go read it.

I liked this one more than Be With Me. Maybe equal to Wait For You. I don't know. Jax is super pushy, and I wanted to thump him sometimes. But it's okay. I want to thump everyone at some point. Other than that he was a sweetheart. And Calla is adorable. She's so awkward. She's literally going to be me in college. Minus all the crap she went through. That was sad. I wanted to fight some people. But you know. It's fine. Um. Do I have more book rant? I don't. No more book rant.

For my lone visitor, I have a present for you: a rant that has nothing to do with a book.

So, I'm trying to drive up to the track, right? For track practice. Because I run track. And I'm being a good little civilian and going out the way I'm supposed to. Because the parking lot I'm is one way around the little loop. Right? ONE. WAY. So I'm trying to back out, and I see this chick coming at me from the other way. She's too freaking close to me for me to go around, so I pull back in so she can go the wrong way. When I finally pull out, about two more cars go past me, THE WRONG WAY. So I'm sitting in my car fuming, because these people have the audacity to look at me like I'm in the wrong. Me, the one going the correct way in the one way. Then I'm trying to leave, and this hoe blocks me off, so I have to spin around the loop to exit. I shouldn't have had to do that. Because it's a freaking one way. Why does no one follow basic traffic laws? I swear. It's a good thing they don't drive in the city. They'd get hit so fast. I'd be at home like, "Guess you should've followed that one-way sign, huh?"

I digress. Have a nice day, lone reader who stalked my blog a little bit. It was a nice surprise.

Ship: Avery and Cam, Teresa and Jase, Calla and Jax, Roxy and Reece

Be With Me

Hey baby,

The saga continues with the romance novels in the second queen's series. This one is called Be With Me. It's about Cam's sister, Teresa. She's just had an accident that could ruin her dream to be a dancer. Not only that, but she has a crush on her brother's best friend, Jase. This is super difficult because Jase is one hot-and-cold SOB.  It's quite ridiculous. He has a secret, and she has not so clean past. They both have baggage, vagueness (sometimes I don't feel like summarizing).

To be honest, I didn't like this one as much as I liked Wait For You. It might be because I didn't like Jase as much. He kept drawing her in and pushing her away, and it pissed me off. Like, Teresa don't need this crap. She already got crap on top of crap on top of crap. Grow a pair. Also, I guessed his secret within the first four pages of the book. And his other secret when he told her. Teresa was a little sad, but that was very understandable.

I can't really verbalize what it was about this book that I didn't like compared to the other one, but it was still good. I still liked it. Ummmmm. Yeah. That's about all I can get out without thinking about the next one. Kay, bye.

Ship: Avery and Cam, Brittany and Ollie, Jase and Teresa
Hate: Erik, you piece of crap

Wait For You

Hi sweethearts,

Today is a strange day in Pandaville. I've just finished a romance novel. And I'm about to read two more. That's three romance novels in a row. Quick, fan the elderly woman who just passed out! I think a Frenchman and a Congresswoman just fell out of a chair.

It's true, fair readers. I'm on a romance binge at the moment. It's all because my second queen, Jennifer L. Armentrout, wrote them, so I just scooped up as many as the library offered. Now here I am. Finished the ultra-amazing Wait For You. It's about a girl named Avery who's just trying to get away from her life in Texas by going to college thousands of miles away. All she wants is to not draw attention to herself and make a few friends. Enter hot male, who can't seem to stay away from her, much to her "aggravation". She can't get involved with him, but we all know. We know.

So. Rant. So good! So good? SO GOOD! Goodness. Warning for the fair of heart, this is technically a real adult book, but still. So good. Cam is what we all need in our lives. As well as a Nick, We need a Nick and a Cam. A Nim? I don't know. He's so infuriating it's endearing. And he's a sweetheart, because you can never go wrong with that. And hot. Also hot. If I find a Cam at college I will count myself blessed. And Avery! She's literally me. Well. . . no. Her awkwardness and insecurity in social things is me. I understood too well. It was a little too real, but then I fell into the book and it was fine. Also, her parents? Dicks. Both of them. I would very much like them to eat rocks.

Book? Book was good. Storyline, good. Some of the sex scenes, I was like bruh. Could you not. But then we got back to book and I was like, dope. Best review, right? Don't even answer that, I know.

Ship: Avery and Cam
Hate: Her parents
