Hello boon,
Sooooooooo. I finished a book. Yeah. But like, I don't feel like writing a blog post for it. I mean, I like it but like. . . . I'm just not in the mood. Sorry not sorry.

This is a blog. A blog about books. Mostly fantasy, but I stray from that sometimes when I want to feel spontaneous. Or just when I feel like it. I do what I want.

A Court of Wings and Ruin
Hello High Lady,
Welcome to the blog where I spout a bunch of nonsense and hope it makes sense to a real person. This one, as it just came out at the beginning of this month, was not a re-read, so I'm not going to go on a rant this time. You're welcome.
In A Court of Wings and Ruin, Feyre has gone back to the Spring Court to sow seeds of discord throughout Tamlin's people. He took her away from her mate like she was his property and now she will destroy him. It's great. It was great. Made me laugh. Anyway, she has to play a dangerous game in that crazy court. And as war gets steadily closer, she has to go find allies in interesting places.
Dang. I should write summaries for a living. I'll look into that.
First off, I'd like to say I hate Tamlin with every fiber of my being. He's a dick. I don't understand how I once loved someone I hate so much. Sarah, you mess with my emotions. Second, I love Rhys with the fierceness of a thousand suns. He will forever be bae. Those who don't agree can walk into the sun. I also enjoy that her sisters have redeemed themselves from the worthless, bratty fools they used to be. I still believe that Elain is a little slow, but what do I know.
This book was really good. It took me a minute because I had to keep stopping because things I didn't like happened, but it all worked out in the end. Just as a fair warning, I cried. Like a lot. Like I curled into the fetal position and cried for a good minute. It wasn't pretty. But it was fiiiiine. The book brought out some depths in some characters and made me hate and then love others in like ten pages. It was great. Go read it. Read them all.
Ship: Feyre and Rhys, Nesta and Cassian, Elain and Azriel, Amren and Varian, a bunch more I can't remember at the moment, I just woke up.
Die: Tamlin, Ianthe, King of Hybern you prick, Beron, Keir

A Court of Mist and Fury
Hello reader darling,
How goes it? I was going to post this yesterday, but I was sooooooooooo tired. And now I started the third one and I really wanna get back to it.
So. A Court of Mist and Fury. The book where Tamlin becomes complete and utter trash and Rhys saves Feyre because he is bae. Tamlin was like, oh all you need to do is sit still and look pretty. But I love you. Like, Feyre had severe PTSD but ain't nobody in Spring Court was gonna help my girl out. So finally, my boy Rhys showed up, interrupting a horrible wedding. And then the ship began to sail. Feyre never got better staying with that faerie trash can, and he then locked her in the house even though he knew she didn't like places that she couldn't escape from. Trash can didn't care. Lucien didn't even try to help. He was all like, just give him time. Like a little wuss. So he got the Morrigan, his cousin, to get her out. And Rhys was all things amazing and wonderful and I love him. We also meet Cassian and Azriel, who are great. Azriel is a man of few words, but he's pretty hot. Cassian says all the words, also hot. Amren, an ancient beast not from that world, is scary. It's great. Anyway, Feyre slowly but surely falls in love with Rhys and heals from the ordeal Under the Mountain. (AND THEY'RE MATES!)
That's about it. The important stuff. See ya in like two days. To the left is my boy Rhys. To the right is the symbol of the Night Court (a.k.a. dream team).
Ship: Feyre and Rhys, Nesta and Cassian, Mor and Azriel, Tamlin and his hand

A Court of Thorns and Roses
Hello..... you know I had a name, but it's gone now.
It's the moment I've been waiting for. A Court of Thorns and Roses fangirl time. This is the time where I go on a fangirl rampage about the book.
So, first let's talk about how my girl is a bad mamma jamma who just wants a little love in her life? This girl taught herself how to cook, chop wood, hunt mother-effing deer, swim, and various other survival skills at the age of about fourteen. Did all of that after coming from a previously wealthy family. Girl crazy. She also taught herself how to paint. You know what happens when I try to art? Bad things. Very bad things.
Of course, she wouldn't have to be a thing if her family wasn't trash. Which leads me to my next point of interest: the fam. Feyre's dad is a weak man. First you show up with debt. Then you allow the debt to swarm you. Next, you get beat up by creditor thugs. Your leg is busted up, I understand. Recovery's hard, again I understand. But then you don't get off your tired butt to take care of your family? You have three girls man! Stop being a wuss. He literally just let his youngest daughter go out to find food for them. Just let her walk out the house and try to hunt. And don't get me started on the sisters. Elain must be slow, because she just waltzes through life like everything's rainbows and unicorn farts. I don't even think she realizes Feyre is out their risking her life to feed her sorry butt. Nesta is the definition of an ice queen. She doesn't give one flying craptard about anyone, Well... let me amend that. She's cool later. She just doesn't show any feelings. The whole family just....ugh!
Tamlin...see, I understood why I kind of dug him, but at the same time RHYS! All the crap Tamlin does at the end of the book, not helping Feyre, not trying to visit her, it all got to me this time around. If he really loved her so much, he would have tried. Instead, Lucien had to heal her face. Lucien warned Feyre of the worm thing. Rhys helped Feyre with the riddle task. Rhys saved Feyre from breaking down. Tamlin just tried to protect himself, like the prick he is. I hate him.
Rhys, though a bastard in this book, I still love him. He's still great. All misconducts are forgiven for the good of the Night Court. Heart you!
I'm super excited to read the second one as soon as I finish this. It'll be super lit. Here's an extra image for the long post. I don't know who did but, seeing as Tamlin is the main love interest in this book, I'll deal with his face. For now.
Ship: Feyre and Rhys (duh), Tamlin and his hand
I dig you: Lucien, Alis

Ensnared
Hey little blossom,
So. The trilogy is over. The end is hear. Is this post going to be a mess? We'll see.
Ensnared is after the disaster with prom. All the openings to Wonderland are closed after the wraiths swept up Alyssa's mother and the other netherlings back. The only way through is through the alternate universe called the Afterworld, I think. Don't quote me on that, I already took it back. Anyway, Morpheus, Jeb, and Alyssa have to find a way back to Wonderland, blah blah blah.
Umm. Let me see. . . Jeb. He's a little dick in this one. I don't like him. I never liked him. He gets all emo for no reason then is like, mmmm jk. Go die. Morpheus is even better. Still heart. Ten out of ten. Alyssa's dad is cool. He's pretty dad like. I like that in Unhinged and Ensnared we see development of Alyssa's parents it's dope. The Afterworld or whatever it's called is weirder than Wonderland, but then again, it's supposed to be. Ummmmmmmm, Good conclusion. A little disappointed but that's only because I don't like Jeb. Other than that, it's good. I didn't guess the thing that was wrong with Alyssa so that's good. Yup.
Ship: Morpheus and Alyssa
GO AWAAAAAAAAAAY: Jeb

Alright. Now. I know that post was trash but there is a reason for that. I've been waiting for A Court of Wings and Ruin to come out since I finished the second one and I've finally got it. Because of that, I'll be taking a break from my regularly scheduled program to reread the first two then experience the third, because why the heck not? I do what I want and that's what I want. I also wanted to tell you how I'm going to do the reviews for the next three books. Since I have read them already, I know I'm going to feel differently about certain characters and events in the book. So, instead of doing a review or whatever it is I do, I was going to just drop a Goodreads summary and fangirl. That seems like the best course of action. I'm warning you now that there will most definitely be spoilers. If you have any oppositions, speak now or forever be spoiled.

Unhinged
Hello netherling,
How's it going? You doing good? I hope so. I'm sick, because I had to go to a track meet in the rain with 50-40 degree weather. I love running. My relays didn't make it any better, because they didn't try. Thanks team.
Anyway, I finished Unhinged today. The writing this time was like the color of a blueberry when you squish it. I could have finished it yesterday, but I was doing this weird stalling thing. It's weird and hard to explain. Don't worry about it. Unhinged is basically about Alyssa fighting for her human life, despite all the signs that say she needs to go back to Wonderland. Jeb and her have plans for after school, but Morpheus visits her dreams. It's great.
So Jeb, who I still don't like, doesn't remember anything from Wonderland. Morpheus is great. Wonderland is calling to her. I don't see what the problem is. Jeb has not broadcasted any outstanding qualities that make me feel like the pull she feels between the two is warranted. There are like two moments that I'm like, aww, but those are dwarfed by all the moments I'm like, ew.
I feel like I should have more valuable content after last weeks post, but it isn't coming to me. You can blame my sickness. Or my incompetency. Whichever suits your fancy.

Splintered
Hello butterfly,
Welcome to the part where I actually write about my book on time. Apparently I've been having problems with that, but whatever. It happens.
Today, I finished Splintered by one A. G. Howard. Alyssa, the main character, has had this problem where she can hear the whispers of flowers and insects and she's afraid it'll drive her insane. Like her mom, who's currently in an asylum. Alyssa and her mother are descendants of Alice Liddel, Lewis Carroll's inspiration for Alice in Wonderland, and all the women have been afflicted with the curse hence forth. So when Alyssa finds a chance to break this curse she takes it, but accidentally drags best friend/crush/dick Jeb with her. Falling down the rabbit hole leads the pair to discover a darker Wonderland, and [insert vague comment here].
So this book, amirite? It's crazy. First off, the writing is purple. PURPLE! And the actual writing was really good. Like the descriptions and stuff was amazing. I can only hope I write my debut as good as my girl A. G. Howard did. Alyssa was also dope. She was a cool chick.
What I didn't like was the love interests. Jeb, he was very overprotective. Like, captain of team too much. And then some of his reasoning's for past decisions and stuff gave me AIDS. He's ridiculous and a dick and I kind of hated him. My boy Morpheus, was dope, but he also did questionable things for questionable reasons. I was mad at him towards the middle end. That sucked because I was rooting for him before I even met him because Jeb was being a dick.
Other than them, I had a total of zero problems with the book. It was wonderfully written and character development was good. The world building was also awesome, seeing as she basically recreated Wonderland.
Wow. Did I just give a real book review? I'm sure you're shocked, seeing as my content has been a little short of actual content. Who knew I had it in me? Not me. Anyway, on to the next one.

Till Death
Hello bride,
I finished a book this morning. Book was dope. Book made me cringe a little bit. Book was still dope. Book was by Queen Jennifer. I'm sorry. Please send help to 1234 Internet St.
Till Death is about how Sasha Keeton comes home after ten years because of the horrific experiences she had being kidnapped by serial killer the Groom. She comes back to help out her mom but then crap starts happening, because the woman just can't get a break. Enter Cole Landis: Sasha's old college boyfriend. He feels guilty about not protecting her back then, and he isn't going to let anything happen to her this time. Will he break down Sasha's very understandable walls? Will these "accidents" add up to something real?
So, imma be honest. It's been a few days because I thought I published this. I didn't because I never finished it. Here's the gist: the book is great, go read it! There. I did it.
Ship: Sasha and Cole because Cole is the best

Of Poseidon
How's life? I think I asked that last time, but I truly care. I hope I can make your day a little brighter with my posts.
Anyway, I finished Of Poseidon on the way to a track meet, and can we say mixed feelings? Ridiculous. Basically, this mermaid prince is looking for another of his kind that possesses the Gift. He believes she can talk to fish, but won't take action until he sees it. Then we have Emma, who's just tryna deal with a recent loss without harassment if the hot guy she met in Florida. When the silly prince, Galen, realizes Emma is who he's looking for, stuff happens. You're welcome.
So, I'll give you my most glaring issue first: someone freaking wrote in the freaking library book! Not only was there writing in a book that didn't suck, but it was a library book! Whyyyyyy? Second, girlfriend kept switching tenses. Like, Emma's part was in first tense and Galen's was in third. Like, why? That wasn't necessary, Anna. Also, Galen was kind of a dick for a good half of the book. I wanted to fight him. I also kind of hate Rayna. She's unnecessary and mean to Toraf for zero reason.
Other than that, the book was fine. I figures out what was wrong with Emma before anyone else did, but that's fine. Actually, all of the book was kind of predictable, but I still kind of liked it. It was alright. I may or may not finish the series, but I'll read the second one. We'll see. The book was alright, but it kind if annoyed me.
Sorry, I don't really have specific positives. Maybe all my negativity is leaking out. I'll try to plug it up.
*UPDATE CAUSE I DON'T FEEL LIKE DELETING*
I'm actually not going to finish this series. I took a look at the summary and I was like, mmmmmm nope. Not for me. Sorry not sorry. I'm not gonna put myself through that, even for you. 'Kay, bye, love you.

The Beauty of Darkness
Hello. . . . I can't think of one that works. Whatever. Whassup?
It took me way too long to read this book. You wanna know why? Do you wanna know why I was struggling with this amazing book? Physics. Freaking physics. It's even that it's hard, it's that my teacher is an incompetent buffoon who doesn't know anything. But anyway. Books.
I finished The Beauty of Darkness, and let me tell you, I had like zero to worry about. I mean, I had a little but overall there was nothing. This book follows the aftermath of Lia and Rafe's escape from Venda. They both want to get to safety, but Rafe is trying to go to Dalbreck and Lia wants to go to Morrighan to warn her people of the hidden army in Venda. Of course freaking Kaden hunts her down, so he's clearly a problem. With her and Rafe at odds and Kaden just adding to the tension, it was amazing that I survived all 679 pages.
So despite the rude interuptions of unimportant school work, I really enjoyed this book. Sometimes I was like, Lia what are you doing? but that happens often. This book helped me not hate Kaden and believe that he deserved love. I had a feeling that what happened with Lia in the end was going to happen, so that wasn't much of a surprise but I'm glad she did. Her own people didn't appreciate her enough. Or at all. Filthy traitors. Rafe was kind of being a stubborn bastard for a while, but I still loved him.
I feel like I should write more, but I'm sleepy. Peace out my homie. Stay toasty.

The Heart of Betrayal
Hello. . . idk, barbarian? Whatever.
Hey. I finished a book last night. It was dank. Wanna hear about it? Of course you do.
This is The Heart of Betryal, second to The Kiss of Deception if the cover art similarity wasn't evidence enough for you. In this novel, Lia is being held captive by the enemy territory of Venda. Not only does she have to worry about keeping herself alive, but bae-Rafe, who is playing as an emissary to the prince. Kaden is just being annoying and puppy-dog-like, but he does have some merit in the story. Everyone's deceptions in Terravin are swirling around but Lia can't worry about that. She's too busy trying to stay alive, not give up Rafe, and nurture a gift the most powerful man in Venda believes is a sham.
You may be wondering if I have rants. If so, you're also not my real friend. Rafe is still hot, still bae, still great. Kaden is still someone I don't like. I don't know why, I just don't like him. He's dumb. The Komizar is a demon spawn. All the little children of Venda are adorable.
For actual book content, I. . . . (so I forgot I didn't finish this post, so.....book content comentary isn't a thing. Oops.)
Ship: Rafe and Lia
Die: Komizar, Kaden, the little Vendan generals or whatever

Kiss of Deception
Hello barmaid,
I don't know if you read that post, but in like November, I put away a book because I wasn't ready yet. Now I'm ready. Today is the day that I finished The Kiss of Deception. Again.
The Kiss of Deception follows the main character, Lia. That's Princess Arabella Celestine Idris Jezelia, First Daughter of the House of Morrighan. Lia's about to get married, except she isn't too fond of the idea. The marriage is arranged and she hasn't even seen the guy. She can't do it. So she flees to the village of Terravin in the hopes that she can start over—not as a princess, but as a real girl—and have a real life and fall in love. Enter two potential love interests—one much better than the rest—Rafe and Kaden. (Mary E. Pearson does this sneaky thing where she'll tell the story from their perspective, but she named them The Assassin and The Prince. Then she gave little details to hint at who they might be. I knew right off the bat when I read this the first time, but that's because I'm special like that.) Lia is trying to make her place in the world and survive bounty hunters while slowly but surely falling in love.
Now, normally I rant about my ships here and how amazing boy part of ship is, but I can't. Because what if you haven't read it? But then again, what if I don't care? I'd tell you to leave and go read it, but I feel like you just do what you want, so what the heck. Imma rant. Rafe is everything. I love him so much. Like, from the beginning I was like, "Ooh, he's angry. I like it." Kaden was always a shady man and I didn't like him. He could go leave. I also really like Lia because she was a sassy chick, and not because she was a princess in another life. Her sass was genuine and all her decisions felt real.
Honestly, this entire book just makes me happy. You should go read it if you haven't already, it's very lovely. And there are three!
Ship: Rafe and Lia
Love: Berdi, Rafe, Rafe's squad
Don't love but don't hate: Pauline, Gwyneth, Griz
Die scum: Kaden, Malich,

King's Cage
Hey Red,
I'd like to start out by saying I'm sorry I keep doing this to you. It's actually kind of ridiculous, but that's how it's been working out. One more book and then you should be out of this idiocy.
I just finished King's Cage, which is the third book in the Red Queen series. Originally I was going to just summarize the other books because I very clearly remember what happens and stuff, but I tried to summarize them for my dad, and that was actually a mess. He was very confused. Because he's a very smart man and had little to no clue what words I was saying, I'm going to do what I apparently do best. Throw down some links.
Red Queen
Glass Sword
King's Cage
So, vague commentary (I'm so sorry). My ship is the best ship. His butt needs to be kicked. That whole family can go die whenever they like. Guard? They're cool. Family is great. With this glowing review, you'll definitely go read it, yay.
I'm sorry I'm grossly incompetent. It's kind of a problem. I'd write you some fanfiction, but I hate the idea of fanfiction. If you write it, that's great, go you. I just feel like the writer wrote what they could and that's that. Be done with it. But whatever. The fangirls shrieking in the distance tells me I am the minority here, much like real life. Hah. Send help.

The Dark Days Pact
Hello aide? Sure. You aren't a Reclaimer yet.
Alright, I know. I realize it's been like over a week. Do I have a good excuse? Not really. Was I sick? Not anymore. The only possibly acceptable excuse is that this book has almost 500 pages. Of course, this has never hindered me in the past, but whatever. I don't have to explain myself to you, reader.
I finished a book titled The Dark Days Pact, second to The Dark Days Club. I feel like you know what's about to happen. Those two are a couple of very dense, very complex books. I couldn't do the summary justice. Besides, if you haven't read the first one yet you'd be confused then mad at me because I spoiled stuff for you so there you go: links.
Since I kind of care about your reading experience (though I'm not totally sure you aren't a government official) I'll try to keep my rants out of spoiler territory. So, when William isn't raging, he's a sweetheart and I love him. Gerard needs to move on and stop being that one white kid that has to get his way no matter what. He's annoying and I now hate him. I feel like I always knew about Michael. It was kind of obvious to me. Margaret should pull that stick out of her butt, because that's not what that's for. Darby and Nathaniel should elope.
Ha! No spoilers (kind of) because of christian names. I rigged the system. Also, after reading blogs to help me remember books, I don't think I'm doing this right. Do I care though? Not in the slightest, because my readers haven't complained yet. That was a joke about me having readers, sad and not funny. Ha!

Crystal Storm
Hello crystals,
Listen, I realize it's been a while, but I have an actual reason. I've been sick and I still had to go to school. Plus, it was a distracting sick, like I couldn't focus on anything. It was ridiculous. But I'm back now, feeling a bit better and finishing books.
I finished Crystal Storm by Morgan Rhodes. Now, here's the thing. This is the fifth book. It would not behoove any of us for me to try and explain this book with four books worth of build up behind it. That's silly. So I'm go get you some Goodreads book summaries.
Falling Kingdoms
Rebel Spring
Gathering Darkness
Frozen Tides
There, I did it. Falling Kingdoms is a really good series. I highly recommend, very highly. Like, 10/10 would recommend. It's so good. My ship is the best ship, and you can't tell me any different. Suck it.

Stay With Me
Hey honey,
This is it. This is the last one. For me. There are like three others, but my library decided they didn't need those. Maybe once they get their heads out of the ground, I'll read them. But for now. It's the end.
Stay With Me is about Teresa's friend, Calla. Like the flower, I think. Anyway, everything is going just fine until she realizes her mother screwed her over. Big time. Now she has to go back home. Like, has to. Once there she meets Jackson "Jax" James, the hottie who runs her mom's bar. Super bossy, could be a long lost member of the Hot Guy Brigade, and is all up in her business. Well, not business. More like. . . he's just really. . . listen. I don't know how to say it. Go read it.
I liked this one more than Be With Me. Maybe equal to Wait For You. I don't know. Jax is super pushy, and I wanted to thump him sometimes. But it's okay. I want to thump everyone at some point. Other than that he was a sweetheart. And Calla is adorable. She's so awkward. She's literally going to be me in college. Minus all the crap she went through. That was sad. I wanted to fight some people. But you know. It's fine. Um. Do I have more book rant? I don't. No more book rant.
For my lone visitor, I have a present for you: a rant that has nothing to do with a book.
So, I'm trying to drive up to the track, right? For track practice. Because I run track. And I'm being a good little civilian and going out the way I'm supposed to. Because the parking lot I'm is one way around the little loop. Right? ONE. WAY. So I'm trying to back out, and I see this chick coming at me from the other way. She's too freaking close to me for me to go around, so I pull back in so she can go the wrong way. When I finally pull out, about two more cars go past me, THE WRONG WAY. So I'm sitting in my car fuming, because these people have the audacity to look at me like I'm in the wrong. Me, the one going the correct way in the one way. Then I'm trying to leave, and this hoe blocks me off, so I have to spin around the loop to exit. I shouldn't have had to do that. Because it's a freaking one way. Why does no one follow basic traffic laws? I swear. It's a good thing they don't drive in the city. They'd get hit so fast. I'd be at home like, "Guess you should've followed that one-way sign, huh?"
I digress. Have a nice day, lone reader who stalked my blog a little bit. It was a nice surprise.

Be With Me
Hey baby,
The saga continues with the romance novels in the second queen's series. This one is called Be With Me. It's about Cam's sister, Teresa. She's just had an accident that could ruin her dream to be a dancer. Not only that, but she has a crush on her brother's best friend, Jase. This is super difficult because Jase is one hot-and-cold SOB. It's quite ridiculous. He has a secret, and she has not so clean past. They both have baggage, vagueness (sometimes I don't feel like summarizing).
To be honest, I didn't like this one as much as I liked Wait For You. It might be because I didn't like Jase as much. He kept drawing her in and pushing her away, and it pissed me off. Like, Teresa don't need this crap. She already got crap on top of crap on top of crap. Grow a pair. Also, I guessed his secret within the first four pages of the book. And his other secret when he told her. Teresa was a little sad, but that was very understandable.
I can't really verbalize what it was about this book that I didn't like compared to the other one, but it was still good. I still liked it. Ummmmm. Yeah. That's about all I can get out without thinking about the next one. Kay, bye.

Wait For You
Hi sweethearts,
Today is a strange day in Pandaville. I've just finished a romance novel. And I'm about to read two more. That's three romance novels in a row. Quick, fan the elderly woman who just passed out! I think a Frenchman and a Congresswoman just fell out of a chair.
It's true, fair readers. I'm on a romance binge at the moment. It's all because my second queen, Jennifer L. Armentrout, wrote them, so I just scooped up as many as the library offered. Now here I am. Finished the ultra-amazing Wait For You. It's about a girl named Avery who's just trying to get away from her life in Texas by going to college thousands of miles away. All she wants is to not draw attention to herself and make a few friends. Enter hot male, who can't seem to stay away from her, much to her "aggravation". She can't get involved with him, but we all know. We know.
So. Rant. So good! So good? SO GOOD! Goodness. Warning for the fair of heart, this is technically a real adult book, but still. So good. Cam is what we all need in our lives. As well as a Nick, We need a Nick and a Cam. A Nim? I don't know. He's so infuriating it's endearing. And he's a sweetheart, because you can never go wrong with that. And hot. Also hot. If I find a Cam at college I will count myself blessed. And Avery! She's literally me. Well. . . no. Her awkwardness and insecurity in social things is me. I understood too well. It was a little too real, but then I fell into the book and it was fine. Also, her parents? Dicks. Both of them. I would very much like them to eat rocks.
Book? Book was good. Storyline, good. Some of the sex scenes, I was like bruh. Could you not. But then we got back to book and I was like, dope. Best review, right? Don't even answer that, I know.

Oblivion
Hello alien babies,
That's a book reference. For those of you who haven't discovered the stunning crafting of Jennifer L. Armentrout's Lux series, leave. Go read it. All of it. This will still be here in two weeks.
For those of you who know what I'm talking about. Hey. Did you know that there's a 1.5? That's from the one and only Daemon's perspective? So clearly, I had to go find and read it as soon as humanly possible. There was no other choice. So here I am. Reviewing it, or whatever the heck it is I do on this blog. It's kind of just turned into a place to rant about books. But it's fine. because no one sees it. Except the government. Hey government.
Oblivion is just Obsidian from Daemon's perspective, like I said. (There's the link for those of you government officials who can't follow directions. So all of you.) So even more amazing. It makes me all sorts of happy that Daemon liked her from the beginning. Like in Obsidian you just see Daemon as this hot-and-cold jerkwad who's super hot. Even though he was a jerkwad, I still loved him. Not that I know that he really didn't want to act that way all the time, I love him even more. Team Daemon all the way. Of course, I don't think there really is another team. That just makes it easier for us to win I guess. Anyway, Daemon. He's great. I like Katy even more now to, because you see how awesome Daemon thinks she is and she just becomes greater. Agh. So many feels. Feeeels! Send help.
I have no bad things to say about this book. If you government people do, feel free to leave. This blog. Your position in the government. America. Whichever suits your fancy. Just kidding, that was an alternative fact.

Wayfarer
Hello everybody,
Welcome to the blog about a book. Now, this book is called Wayfarer, but it should be called All the Ways You Can Keep a Ship Apart via Time Travel. Ridiculous. It was--I just--THEY WERE IN THE SAME PLACE DANG IT!
I'm sorry. Let me try and contain my emotions. So. Wayfarer is when (GO READ THE OTHER ONE IF YOU HAVEN'T DANG IT!) Nick and Etta are split up. Nick is looking for Etta and Etta is looking for the astrolabe since she believes Nick is safe in Damascus still. Etta finds herself with the Thorns and Julian Ironwood. Nick is traveling with freaking Sophia and they come across this Chinese girl. None of this is the bad part though. That happens like in the middle-end, but I can't tell you that, as that would be a pretty major spoiler. AGHHHH.
But it's okay. Everything works out. That help that I ordered, I don't need it anymore.
Anyway. Nick. Nick is still a blessing to all mankind. We all need a Nick in our life. Etta is still pretty bad. I mean bad in the Michael Jackson way, not the awful way. I despise Sophia with a passion. Julian is an annoying little brat. Rose is kind of awful. In the awful way. Henry's great. Love Henry.
'Twas a good book. I liked it the same as the first one. It's a good little duology. I'm glad Alexandra didn't try and drag it out. That wouldn't have went well. Yup. That's all my mind has got. Thank you French readers. You're accidental look ups are always welcome.

Passenger
Hello travelers,
I did something different this time. Not only did I finish a book, but I re-read a book. I know, it's crazy. Don't get too worked up about it. It's not like I re-read all the books.
Since I like to imagine that my readers, if I had any, can read, you all know that I finished Passenger today. It's about a girl named Etta. She's just trying to get a feel for what her violin debut would feel like when she gets interupted by this God awful noise. A bunch of cringe-worthy bullcrap happens and the next thing she knows, she's on a boat. Just as a frame of reference, the Met is not on or by water. Then enters Nick, this pirate lad who's trying to figure out how to deal with the lady passengers on his boat. Of course, they go on adventures together, but they're of the time traveling variety, which makes it much more exciting.
I re-read Passenger because I got all excited that Wayfarer was coming out but then I was like, wait how did this happen? Who's Sophia? Aren't they a thing? Shouldn't they be together? Isn't he dead? Basically, I was very confused and I only read the summary. Lucky for me, the second time around was just as good as the first. Nick was still a grumpy sweetheart. Sophia is still trash. Ironwoods still need to stop everything. It's all good. All the parts that matter were great. I did find myself confusing part of this book with another book, but that just means I have to go re-read that. Bummer. So upsetting.
Anyway, good book. Would recommend. Also, while I'm here, Alexandra Bracken wrote some other books that were amazing. I shed so many tears. Like, so many. So good. They're The Darkest Minds series. These are more of a magic realism type of series, so if you're into that type of thing, go check them out.

Black City series
Alright, listen:
You ever pick up a book, and you're just like, "I don't wanna read this."
That's what happened with Phoenix. I don't really know why, but it did. Sorry invisible readers. So here are the links to the Goodreads summaries. It's the least I can do since I became trash for no real reason.

Black City
Hello Darklings,
This book was a bit of an emotional whirlwind. There was a lot of slamming the book closed and shaking my head in annoyance. A lot of confused facial expressions and overall exasperation. I did get through it though.
The emotional pit I fell into was Black City by Elizabeth Richards. There's a half-human boy who's trying to make ends meet and fight off the loneliness of being the only one of his kind and a sheltered ditzy politicians daughter who doesn't understand how the world works. They meet on accident and it just so happens that afterwards they keep getting thrown together. Conflict and tension seem to brew with every step in Black City yet Ash and Natalie seem to only think of each other. What's up with that?
To be honest, I first picked up this book because the cover is sick. I didn't even realize it was a rose until yesterday, but it's awesome. Though I came for the cover, I stayed for the book. It was rough at some points. The main characters got irrationally angry at each other for little baby reasons or reasons they themselves caused (*cough cough* Natalie, stop means stop). Then some character will show up and try to mess up my ship. I was going to fight her.
I didn't like Natalie in the beginning. She was so ignorantly stupid it hurt. Like, you just gave your SLAVE an ownership bracelet tag thing, and you think she'd be happy about that? That you're giving her a tag and saying she belongs to you like she isn't a person? WTF. And then she'd say hurtful things on purpose then be like, oh maybe I shouldn't have said that. Actually no, she'd be like, ohhhh he's so scary. I don't know why he's so mean. It's not like I just provoked him or anything. I was literally going to fight her too. The only reason she had any sympathy from me was because her mom was a dick. She hated her for no reason and controlled all aspects of her life because "she wasn't capable of making reasonable decisions". Ugh. Ash was amazing though. Ash is bae.
'Twas a good book though, I enjoyed it. If the people chilled out a bit it would be better, but after reading the summary for the next one, it doesn't look that way at all. But whatever.

Infinite Risk
What up time paradoxes,
To be quite honest, I almost forgot to write this.
I finished Infinite Risk today. It didn't end like I though it was going to. I was pleasantly surprised. So Edie decides to go back in time to Kian's freshman year of high school so she can save him. She goes by a fake name and lives in a crappy room, but she's determine to save Kian from the early death she feels like she caused. It's actually kind of sweet though I was kind of sad she was going to give up her life to save his, but I got it.
In this one we see more of The Harbinger, who I didn't realize was one of my favorite characters until this book. He kind of snuck up on me. He's a sweetheart. I was so glad that this book wasn't the mess that Rise was. Infinite Risk was about trying to get Kian out of his shell and happy while trying not to get too close. He was technically too young and she didn't want him attached to her when she knew she couldn't stay, even though she did love him. It was cute. I would have cried a little at the end, but my friend kept talking to me and breaking my immersion. No one has respect for the inaccessibility of reading. It's rude. I feel quite attacked.
Good book though, good series. Definitely better than the Eve trilogy. Go read it.

Public Enemies
You know, I think Ann Aguirre is a twisted, sadistic, little dick.
I was like, yeah. Imma try again, and it'll be great. This is a different book, she won't ruin my life again. Then it happened and I was like
So now I have to tell you what happened.
Public Enemies begins with the remains of the Kramer family still shocked by the death of Mama Kramer, understandably. Add that to the fact that Edie just found out that Kian only has a six months to live, and it makes for a hard holiday season. Then you have to factor in being under The Harbinger's thumb and the immortals sending in foot soldiers to come at her. It's just not a good time. Edie's trying, but not really because other stuff happens, to find a loophole for Kian and ultimately win "the game".
If you had a gander at my review for Once, you know what Ann did. Again. Why can't my ships just run off into the distance. I don't understand. This never happened in the Razorland series. At all. Bae lived to ripe old age and I rejoiced. Now I have to deal with this crap, sinking my ships.
Besides that, there was quite a lot of death in this book. So much so that I wasn't even sad about it towards the end. I was angry and then a little indifferent. That isn't very good, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong. it was a good book. It just. . . could we hold off on the death? Like could that be a thing? We'll see. Wish me luck.

Mortal Danger
Hey pawns,
You know, you're going to be like, wtf is this person doing to themselves? And after she just finished that trash series too? What are you doing? Let me explain.
So I finished a book called Mortal Danger today by Ann Aguirre. "The same Ann Aguirre from the--" Yes, we don't talk about it. I didn't know they where by the same author. I don't pay attention to that stuff. Unless it's an author I love, then I pick up the book without reading the summary. But that's an entirely different issue. Mortal Danger is about a girl after revenge. Edie was driven to make the ultimate decision, but a beautiful boy stopped her and offered her a deal. Now Edie can take out the beautiful people from the inside. But the deal she made goes much deeper than just her. There are things out there, things trying to get her. Will she be able to get her revenge and keep those close to her safe?
I liked this book better than Eve, which I call a win. Edie didn't suddenly turn into a raging beeyatch airhead when she turned pretty, which I appreciated. Too many times, the main character turns pretty and then loses all the sense God gave them. It's ridiculous. Also, Kian is a sweetheart. But, you know. Good book. Would recommend. I kind of don't have a lot to say that's this book related.
Random thing you don't care about: I had this really vivid dream about this hot guy that I don't talk to at school. I was like lying in the grass and he was leaning over me, telling me he liked me. I knew it was a dream because I hate outside. I wouldn't just decided to go lie in some grass. In real life, the only conversation we ever had was him asking me the answers to a chem lab. So yeah. I'm sure that enlightened you to so many levels of whateverness. You're welcome.

The Fate of the Tearling
Hello sapphires,
There's been a lot of struggle in the world. A lot of people are angry and there's just a lot of crap everywhere. So here's a little reprieve: I finished a book.
I just read The Fate of the Tearling, but honestly, it would just be confusing if I tried to give a summary. Like, Erika Johansen made such a complex first two books that me trying to tell you what happened would just ruin it. So go read them, then come back in two weeks.
Wow! You're back. So, this book was awesome. I would have finished it sooner, but education is a thing. I liked how decisions she made in the past came back and affected her in this last one. I don't know why exactly, I just did. I also like how we saw the backstories of some of the mystery characters. Of course, I'm still not sure why we learned Lily's story in the second book, but what do I know about story telling? I also liked how this series wasn't centered around a romance. I mean, I love that sort of thing, probably more than I should, but it was different. The only thing I didn't really like was the end. It made me feel hopeless. Like everything worked out, and it was good, but Kelsea seems kind of hopeless. It makes me sad.
Good series though. Go read them, it's worth it. Because you're perfect. And you deserve it.
Fun fact you didn't ask for: I am not going to watch the movie. Every time I've watched the movie of a book I liked, I was sad. Not in a good way. Sad in a I want to stab movie producers for not actually reading the book way. So yeah, not gonna do it. Fight me,

Rise
I say bull you say crap! Bull! [Crap!] Bull! [Crap!] That's what this book is. A load of bull crap.
So, Eve's trapped in the palace, trying to kill her father. She's not happy. Then she gets caught and escapes. Then some other stuff happens. That's all you need to know about Rise. Good summary, am I right?Alright. Here's the thing, every plot twist that happened, wasn't even surprised. Actually, I was very surprised that the chick who fell of the cliff didn't die. That seemed like something that Anna would decided to do as she doesn't care about mental state of the readers. I was a tiny bit surprised when she found her friends. I wasn't surprised at all when she almost immediately kills one of them off.
Honestly, I can't with this book. This series. I don't understand how she gave her motivation to do anything. Like it was just, he's wrong and killed my boyfriend. Dude gots ta die. Well, she was a little motivated by her surprise, but I see that as a negative. No one likes those in the wild.
Also, Eve, you can't just decide someone is your husband because they're your baby daddy. That's not how this works.
Sorry about the salt, I didn't like this series after book two. Next book is definitely going to be lit though, so stay tuned.
No ship.
No love.
Fight me.

Once
You know, I feel like I should have known. I should've known this crap would happen. Why have a happy ending when you can just piss of everyone.
Once begins with Eve living in Califia, the haven for women. Caleb isn't with her, but she thinks of him constantly. After reuniting with Arden, she hears of a sighting of Caleb. So she goes to him. That's when the trash begins.
*WARNING invisible readers, major spoilers, major rants ahead*
So that scared little boy soldier that Eve let go on her way to Califia, he set a trap for her. He immediately captures Eve and Arden. He's a dick. Then they put Arden back in School, the one place she'd rather die than go back to. Why let Arden escape? That would be silly. Why have happiness for anyone? After leaving her there, Eve is taken to the City of Sand where she finds out that she's the king's daughter. He's a dick too. A major one. Some chump "likes her", but bae gets into the city. So you think everything's going to be okay. Then he just has to walk her home after she spends the night with him. As if she can't find her way back to the giant palace in the center of the city. Of course, he gets caught. And dick-Dad is like, "Yup we gotta kill him. Your feelings for him aren't a thing because those rapscallions out in the wild? Manipulative. Deceptive. Nothing like myself, who has told the people of my city that all the kids in labor camps and Schools volunteered to do the work. Nope, he gotta die." So Eve is like, I'll marry your stupid head architect if you just let bae go. Then he's like, fine. But doesn't let him go. Because God forbid anybody have happiness. Like what is he going to do out in the wild? It's not like he can contact anyone. Eve, being a crafty girl devises a plan to escape the city and free Caleb with the help of the dissidents. Then her stupid maid snitches. Eve gets caught, Harper and Caleb get freaking murdered, and Eve still has to marry whatever the architect guy's name is.
This whole book is a load of baby back bullswhack. Like, I don't understand. Why can't anyone be happy. The freaking king is the antagonist is getting his way. I mean, I know the series isn't over, but normally there's some type of hope. Now there's no hope. Caleb is DEAD. She has nothing to fight for except for revenge. And you can't just run on revenge. That's not how it works. But you know, what do I know about books? I've only been reading since I was four.
I'm not sure why I'm reading the last book, as it's probably going to piss me off more and not satiate my thirst for, I don't know, a satisfying ending. I mean, when the ships gone, what's the point. It can't even really be called a romance anymore.
Why am I doing this to myself?
Ship: what's there to ship. all ships are sunk.
Love: there's no hope.
Hate: Anna Carey

Eve
Hey. . . sows?
Whatever. It's time. I finished a book. I know, shocking. Why else would I be here?
Eve, by Anna Carey, is a book about a futuristic dystopian America where tons of orphan girls are put into Schools. What Eve finds out is that they aren't actually going to learn trades to later go forth into the City of Sands. They have a much more daunting and horrifying job. Eve escapes the horror of that reality and meets up with Arden, another girl from the School. They aren't in any way friends, but they eventually get along. Then they meet Caleb, a male. In School, the girls were conditioned to fear and hate males, so that doesn't really go off to a good start, but he agrees to take them somewhere safe. So their journey begins.
This book. This girl. Holy crap did she make me cringe. Like every step, every decision, every word. Well, not every, but still. Her first words to Caleb (who I believe is black, btw) are, "I know what you're planning and it's not going to work. . . You want to have intercourse with me." Bruh. For realz though. Like that's what you're going to say to the boy who has swept you away on the back of his horse? Then she just does stupid crap. Like, I know you just got out of your sheltered, psychological conditioning school and everything, but can you have a bit of common sense please? Ugh.
Don't get me wrong, I liked the book enough to get past her stupidity. Or maybe I just wanted to see how it ended, who knows. The end kind of got me. There were no tears, but there was a pang. We'll see how the second one goes. Will I finish the series? That's a big who knows from me.
Ship: Eve and Caleb?
Heart: Benny and Silas, Arden even though she's a jerk

Me Before You
Hello bees,
I just want to say, I haven't cried like this for a long time. Empire of Storms came close, but the last time I cried this hard over a book was The Fault in our Stars. That book wrecked me. This did too. Not saying I haven't cried with other books. I just haven't cried hard over the others.
Me Before You is about an eccentric girl named Lou trying to find herself. She's just lost her job and with her family struggling, she really needs to be employed. Lou finally gets a job as a caregiver with Will Traynor, ex thrill-seeking money-grabber. Will is now a quadriplegic with limited use in one hand, yet Lou refuses to pussyfoot around him.
Basically it's one of those, girl meets boy who she never would have associated with before something happened to him and now their buddies. I loved it. Will was super snarky for no reason. Lou was sassy and quirky. Patrick was a bit of a dick, but whatever. I also kind of despised Lou's sister, but it's fine. It all works out.
Now you may be wondering, "Yo, Panda, there's a movie out. Are you going to--"
ABSOLUTELY NOT!
When I went to see The Fault in our Stars I literally started crying when they got on the plane to go to Amsterdam and didn't stop. I cried the entire rest of the movie. I had one tissue because I didn't want to seem weak. One tissue, a billion tears. I am not going to put myself through that again. I don't need this type of emotion. I'm already emotional as it is. Leave me alone.
But go read it. It's so good. It gave me so many feels and it was worth it. My tears were good tears. I mean I was sad, but when a book makes you honestly sad, that's good writing. Go look at it, government.
Ship: obviously Lou and Will

The Midnight Star
Hi no one,
I just got in a car crash so I don't feel like blogging today.
I finished this: The Midnight Star
Here are the first and second ones: The Young Elites and The Rose Society
Yay. Go hop on someone else's blog. Oh wait, you weren't here in the first place.
